Because, while I enjoyed the first book in Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn trilogy (The Final Empire - see my review here), I loved the second, The Well of Ascension. The conclusion of the Mistborn trilogy fulfills all the promise of the first two books. The book takes place about 300 years after Mistborn: The Hero of Ages. The series consists of the original trilogy of Mistborn: The Final Empire, Mistborn: The Well of Ascension, and Mistborn: The Hero of Ages as well as a stand-alone short novel titled Mistborn: The Alloy of Law was released on 8 November 2011. In true fashion of a masterfully written fantasy story, Book 2 of Mr. I just finished the series recently, loved it as a trilogy but struggled through book 2 (Well of Ascension). The three books which make up this series, in order, are The Final Empire, The Well of Ascension, and The Hero of Ages. But the humans seem to be divided into nobility and skaa, and, although the two can produce offspring, there seem to be differences. I'm on the last 100 or so pages of his last mistborn book (and plan on finishing it tonight). The Well of Ascension is the second book in Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn trilogy. Picking up where The Final Empire left off, The Well of Ascension sees a marked change in pace in the development of the Mistborn series. Sanderson's “Mistborn” trilogy, “The Well of Ascension”, builds in scale and scope on the proceeding novel. These books 2 comments on “Book Review: Mistborn – The Well of Ascension”.
